Hey, it's okay, I got the joke. And I really fucked up the name, so
11.30 AM is way too early to be on the board, I guess.
weren't they commandos or something in starhunter?
I have only vague memories of seeing a couple episodes back in the day. If they did rip it off, they deserve credit for making it not suck.

Yeah, Bounty Hunters.
And don't get me wrong, Firefly is a much, much, MUCH better show, from what I've seen so far. Til friday night, I didn't even know there was a Starhunter show.
Imagine this: It's friday night, about 2 AM. I flip through the TV channels, and see a glimpse of soemthing that looked like it could be something Sci-Fi. My TV says it's "Starhunter", so I decided to watch a little. And then I thought "Hm, this looks kinda familiar:
- The captain, scarred and hunted by his past, and a little worn out ...
- The ass-kicking black warrior woman ...
- The bright, cheerful, sexy girly who knows how to handle heavy machinery ...
- The old, slightly crappy spaceship ...
Where have I seen this before ???"
Then today I did a little research, and found out that Starhunter is from 2001

Over all of fiction? None of those ideas are exactly original, all standard archetypes.
