Re: Comic Story arcs should be like the show HOUSE
I see this alot of times now and I'm loving it. Hate the comics that have no point into continuety so I guess that's why I don't comics that don't have that. Bendis is good at this stuff, especially in USM and NA.

Now, story arcs today (i'm talking about you bendis) has all 6 issues all about a certian story. And a lot of people don't like that.
Now, after watching house I noticed somthing pretty cool. Every episode (issue) had a different dilema in it, and a different main problem so that every episode seemed a little different, but If you actually watch them all in a row, there IS an ongoing story, even though it's not 100% essential to the part of the story where he's working on the patient. If comics where written more like this, we could get more of an oldschool vibe, with things actually happening, rather than having what I have dubbed the "DBZ EFFECT" where the whole issue is about one little thing in the whole story, such as an entire episode of DBZ that only has Goku powering up.
I don't know if I explained that well enough, but I think it's a good idea.
Yeah...you just described good comics pre-decompression. Dip back into the eighties...there's tons of stories that do just that.

Plus, I think it would be cool if there were more than just a few titles that sell really well. There should be more than just Marvel and DC that rake in all the dough. And I wish comics would actually be LONGER. With the prices they charge us. Especially since one of my comic stores, which I usually go to, is starting to charge tax on ALL items soon. So really, new comics are about $3.25 now. Ridiculous. Oh well, at least they have cheap back issues, and some reasonably priced trades.
