And Ami was a real amusement. I really appreciate her outgoing personality

I'll see you in SD. I'll be at a different booth this year. Not at the Image booths but sharing a booth at Beckett comics signing with Jeff Amano. And of course Kat Amano and Mandy Amano will be there too

I'll still have the big Kabuki banner on it, so you should be able to find it

Yeah, I've seen it.
I was surprised by how often I was mentioned on it.
And Kat and I have e-mailed the guy, who was actually very nice and accomodating in his response to us.

They called him on the radio when Mandy was being interview on KROQ. It was a funny bit of radio.

Like Goodman said, the blog has generated a lot of internation buzz, but it is not fake. It is the guy's real blog, not a Pepsi promotion.

And when Maxim was looking for Mandy to interview her for the magazine, they contacted the blog to find her. So the blog guy is responsible for hooking Maxim up with her.

I also saw someone posted links to Dawn's LA photos on it too.

And David Thornton told me that davidmackguide.com gets a lot of traffic from that blog cause the guy put a link to DMG on his blog as well as a link to Mandy's dad's comics.

It is a fascinating phenomenon.

I'll definetely find you at ComicCon! I'll only be going for a day or two this time around. But I'll be spending a lot of time at the Beckett booth for sure!

Both Kat and her dad were awesome too.

I'm really happy you like the scar, and so does everyone else! It's the neatest part of wearing them when everyone else enjoys them so much. I hope one day I can get really good at making costumes and do the whole, Noh agent costume. That would rock!


PS. I think it also rocks that I got linked from Mandy's fansite. I'm definetely gonna get that Maxim issue and have her sign it or something.

And that this issue is a special "Sin City" issue.
I think Brittany Murphy is on the regular cover, and I think Frank Miller is drawing a special version of another cover too.

And Mandy's interview has some stand out quotes about comics.

And yeah, pretty cool that the fansite about Mandy linked to your photos.

I did see the new issue of Maxim today and her photo turned out well.

And they mentioned Jeff Amano's new book Ronin Hood which has a character (Lady Fujiko) that is based on her.

I just did a couple of paintings for the book of her as the character.
