This one's prompted by Pat Loika's awesome action figure thread:
In the last poll we discussed, Thing ended up taking it over Namor 9-7, which is tough to argue. I don't know if anyone really put forward compelling an argument for either to overcome the other, so it's nice that it was close.
This one should probably be equally as close.
It was briefly touched on during Marvel vs DC, when Juggernaut ended up in Metropolis. There really wasn't a lot of time given to it though, so it's hard to say who really could've come out where.
Superman's arguably the biggest hitter in DC comics, and Juggernaut's arguably the most unstoppable character in Marvel, so this should be an interesting one.
Superman is the man who'll never quit, but his weakness is magic, and Juggernaut's strength IS magical. Does that mean Superman can't take him?
Kind of have that fly em up in the air and drop em problem tho with Juggernaut.
I think Supes hands down. If everyone else in the marvel uni can beat Juggs, Supes can surely beat him. If Juggernaut had half a brain he would be dangerous.

you do have a point...
but I'm leaning towards Juggernaut, only becaue his powers are magical, and when he went toe to toe with Thor during Acts of Vengeance he really put the hurt on him
I'd say that I'm saddened rather than bothered by the very concept of religion regardless of what it affects. Kind of the same way I'm saddened to see Twilight movies be blockbusters or Rob Liefeld books sell like crazy.

I see where you're coming from with that, but Juggernaut's a guy who can take that. Flying him up, and slamming him down is just going to leave a really big nasty crater in the ground. At best, Juggernaut might be shaken a little.
I'm not sure how much of an advantage flight would be in this case, assuming Superman could even lift him. I mean, he'd have to really torpedo him at top speed, otherwise I think Juggernaut might be able to man handle his way out of it.

I agree with that, and it's worth taking into account, but the magic weakness was really defined where things like mind control are concerned, or turning his hand into wood, or whatever.
I don't think magic super strength necessarily tips the scales against Superman.
It's a tough match up!
Closer than Thing/Namor, I think. Thing/Namor comes down to the day, I think, but Juggernaut and Supes are consistent playas.
Superman just has too many weapons at his disposal. Super speed is the one thing that Superman has that Juggernaut probably doesnt have any real counter against.
The "magic" argument that Jugs has over Superman doesn't wash. Superman is weak against magic based attacks, but the gem of Cyttorak imbues Jugs with strength. There is a difference.
didnt superman move planets out of its orbit or something crazy like that? I dont think he would have any problems flying Juggernaut into the air, and instead of slamming him to the ground, just take him up into orbit and let him pass out. pretty sure Juggs needs air.
I think the biggest advantage Supes has is that Juggernaut isnt the smartest leaf off of the tree.
