Powers Question

Okay, so after hoping on board the Powers bandwagon a few months ago (has it even been that long?) I have finally gotten the last TP and am anxiously awaiting the unoffical 50th issue.

I have a question though. Is Walker an immortal or is he reincarnated, like Retro Girl seems to be in Calista? The stories seem to imply immortal, but the interview with Bendis in the back of the TP mentions reincarnation. Whihc is it?

And that whole scene with The Wolf back in Who Killed Retro Girl that is repeated in Powers Forever: was that added later to the Retro Girl TP, or was it always there?

Maybe I should be asking this over on the Bendis Board, but the crowd in here seems a lot more mellow and open to newbie questions.

Re: Powers Question

So like silence is not exactly a trademark characteristic for this group. Is there an FAQ somewhere that I am too dumb to find?

Re: Powers Question

I assumed he as immortal. (Not "offical" or anything, just the impression I got from "Forever")

Re: Powers Question

I assumed immortality too, except that one of the interviews in the Forever extras implied reincarnation. I have to look at it again when I get home, but I came away thinking that Wolf was immortal but Walker was reincarnated, which is why Wolf remembers but Walker doesn't.

Re: Powers Question

He is Immortal- the reincarnation refers to his different "lives" as he transitions from one to the next
good question!

Re: Powers Question

Thanks Mike. So he just forgets the details of past lives as his brain fills up -so to speak.

Now along those lines, What's the deal with Calista? She is obviously Retro Girl reincarnated. Well maybe not "obviously", but she appears to be. Are some Powers like unversal constants in some battle between Good and Evil? And if so, were Walker to be killed would a new person assume the role of Walker, as Calista seems to have done with RG?

Or do I have to just keep reading to find out.

ahhhhhhhhhh! my hat goes off to you sir!

He should have tatooed them like memento! He'd be like "why does it say 'monkey melt face' on my thigh?"

I love it when a BB post can make me laugh out loud.
