Hey everyone,

Thanks for your honest opinions and views on this issue. One of your members posted a link for me to follow over here so I wandered in and read the thread. It's always enlightening to read the gamut of opinions on any given job I've done.

Sorry to hear that not all of you enjoyed the issue. The bright side for you is that it's just one more issue to go for those of you who are anxious to return to Geoff and Tony.

Thanks again,

rob

Also, for the record, the first plot for #27had the kids in their civvies while they were bowling, the revision, I assume a result of editorial input or otherwise, dictated that they all be in costume.

Since it was pointed out I thought you'd be interested in a little behind the scenes.

I'm with Rob, I'm sorry if the book didn't provide at least a little bit of fun for ya.

The interesting thing about the bowling is that that was Geoff's suggestion, if I remember correctly.

If you liked it, I'm very glad, and if you didn't, I hope you like next issue much more, or as Rob said, Geoff's back in two issues with another killer story in his excellent run.

Best wishes, and thanks for the honest feedback,

Gail

For once I'd like the creators to give a big FUCK YOU to the audience saying that if you don't like it then TOO FUCKING BAD.

What's w/ all the apologizing latley?

They didn't have to apologize. People are going to not like some books. Okay, the feedback was poor, so what could they do? Rob's had his day, and Gail is currently kicking all kinds of ass all over the place. (Anyone read Birds of Prey? Well you should be readin' it.) So they dropped a clunker. Everyone has 'em.

I have to be honest and say that nothing I saw of Liefeld's work on this book had me looking forward to it.

Did you read Bill Willingham's response to the bad Batman "War Crimes" feedback? It was pretty much like that.

Re: Rob Liefield/Gail Simone apologized for TT#27

I don't really see why they should have apologized. I hated the book, but it's not like they played dirty with the audience. People knew coming in what the art would be like, and the story wasn't THAT bad, honestly.

Now, Willingham's just being a dick with that response, IMO. He had a lot to apologize for after that story, first and foremost the way he killed off another writer's character in the most disrespectful way possible. But of course, he chooses to be an ass about it.

Dude, it is part of being an adult. Saying "fuck you"....well, in the professional world, it just doesn't help to say that to your purchasing community.

I actually appreciate it, as someone who was let down by the overall story. I didn't hate it, but with their combined talents...I did expect something better than what I purchased.

Thanks to Rob & Gail...I'm honestly more of a fan because of their honesty.
