Andrew wasnt a good friend of mine, but we were pals, had few drinks and laughs together a few times. He did the layouts on DR.13 at Vertigo with me and he later did some sculpting work on POWERS and an amazing Hammer of the Gods statue that never came into production. Andrew Wiernicki, age 48 of Taunton, MA, died Tuesday Nov 25, 2008 at his home in Taunton after a battle with cancer.
He was the husband of Lorraine McCarthy.
Born in England he was the son of the late Wieslaw and Mary (Carcas) Wiernicki.
Andy grew up in Falmouth and was a graduate of Falmouth High School and Southeastern Massachusetts University in Dartmouth. He worked as a Graphic Artist for East Coast Screen Printing in Providence, RI for the past 11 years. He was an accomplished Sculptor and enjoyed playing the guitar.
Besides his wife he leaves three brothers Christopher Wiernicki of Elgin, SC, Maurice Wiernicki of Chesterfield, VA and Richard Wiernicki of E. Falmouth, 1 niece Tiffany Edwards of North Carolina and two nephews Craig and Chad Wiernicki both of E. Falmouth.
Visiting Hours will be Thursday Dec. 4 from 5-8 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home 475 Main St. (Rt. 2

Falmouth Center. A Funeral Home Service will be on Friday Dec. 5 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Falmouth. Memorial donations may be made to Winslow Farm Animal Awareness Inc. 37 Eddy St. Norton, MA 02766.
