If I were I would have talked to him.

Went to the Brisbane Supernova today and met Greg, I must say he was a great bloke and I only wish I had more money to buy up his whole stand. Just have to make due with the Elektra print.

Re: SupaNova Comicon report...

Met Greg at Supanova and found him to be a quite a riot!! Also managed to pick up a nice Steranko-esque cover that he did for She-Hulk and get my HC Art of Greg Horn book signed...

That's right... HC...

Pictures from Australia Supanova con

I've been back from Australia for a day, but now I am officially awake enough to post pictures and communicate with other humans. I was gone for two weeks...Did you guys miss me? I really missed you all, and would lie awake every night sobbing into my pillow, "oh Spidey616, how I long to hear your witty quips... and Intercept, how i dreamed of the day when we could continue our never ending debates about Ms Marvel's cup size. And of course I thought about Mad Monkey and his Wii. Anyway, I"M BACK BABY and I'm holding a nice cold bottle of Pibb XTRA as I type this--it's a beautiful thing. So onward with the pics>>>>>>
Here I am at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, but it is the Kangaroos that really need the protection-- I drove 1900 miles with voice actor Spike Spencer and the only wild one's we saw were road kill! Luckily, this Roo is chillin' like a villian at the park and I decided to plop down and share some of my meds with him.

Once the Kangaroo was loopy, we stunned him with a tyre iron. We hauled the carcass to Sydney and made a couple of tasty Shish-ka-bobs by the harbor. A lovely evening, but no Pibb.

I understand that this sounds pretty bad....but we were really hungry because earlier in the week we stuck out at this horrible place called the 12 Apostles on the south end of Australia where there was no food for miles. Furthermore, it's one of the ugliest places i've ever been to...take a look for yourself!

A panoramic shot I pieced together.... SCROLL>>> SCROLL>>>>

Whenever I go to the beach, I'll look out across the ocean and think about what lies beyond--on my beach here in Florida I picture France, England, and North Africa. But standing on this beach, I looked out to the ocean and realized that beyond the horizon lay Antartica- an endless tract of tundra and ice. In truth, this is THE most spectacular, beautiful place I've ever seen, but it also gave me a feeling of dread or something... The waves were huge and churned violently among the rock's bases. I imagined there at the bottom of the world there was nothing out at sea-- it gave me the shivers...then again...it was really cold and i was wearing shorts and sandles..
Later, we found this little beach in a cove and you could see the ocean churning between these two cliffs--it was incredible!!!

Re: Kangaroo fondled --pictures from Australia Supanova con

I got a sore throat from the cold weather, so I'm not sure what a great travel partner I was (didn't feel like talking much at the time). Anyway, after the Apostles, we drove off towards Sydney and we picked up a friend....

We named him Hoagie and he traveled with us for about two days until we got hungry and ate him. On the way to Sydney, we had our eyes peeled for everything and anything...Kangaroos, Koala, Wombats, Cucka burra...didn't see nothin'. But the government of Australia is only too happy to put up signs to let you know all the cool shit you're missing. Here's one....

We got to the city late at night... it was really tough driving on the left side of the road in this busy place....disorientating sometimes...Arthur Suydam seemed genuinelly concerned that i was going to get myself killed. He told me several times "Be careful out there ,man. It ain't easy!" Eventually, i got used to it but i could never get used to the turn signal being on the right hand side of the steering column. Everytime I took a turn, the windshield wipers went on! anyway, here is Sydney opera house by night

The craziest thing...every night in Sydney a huge flock of bats fly out all over the city. There must have been at least 10,000 bats i shit you not!
Here's a shot of them but this just does not do justice to this surreal scene. Go check out these links of the bats (the screeching you will hear is the cockatoos--they hate the bats!

In Sydney, i was told that we were in the "seedy" part of town... but, it was quite nice actually. All the women there wanted to show us their "norks" and asked us if we were up for a quick "root". Not sure what any of this meant--they were just friendly is all I'm sayin'. I couldn't get to sleep in our hotel room because some deranged fucker was yelling "Red bull" every 10 seconds and giggling like the Riddler from the old Batman tv show. Our window was open to the alley and I could hear him out there, so i slept with my belt in hand. I was waiting for him to stick his head in the window so i could whip him across the face with it.... is that wrong? Anyway, in the entire city of sydney population a kazillion... no Pibb. Can you believe it?

Re: Kangaroo fondled --pictures from Australia Supanova con

On the way out of Sydney, we headed towards Byron Bay which was spectacular.

I had allergies because i hid my backpack on top of a tall ledge the night before (I was hiding it from the Red Bull guy), and when i pulled it down about 15 years of dust fell onto my bed. Anyway, on the way to Brisbane we picked up another friend...

We ate him immediately so he never got a name. I would have called him Quizno.
-------------------------------------------------------
There was a lot of shit to see in Australia and i feel like we didn't see half of it....

Finally, we made it to the town of Dookie and saw some REALLY cool shit....

We'd been travelling all night and i was practically starving. Luckily they had some good eats in Dookie....

Finally, we got to Brisbane and saw even more shit... this Koala bear did his "bidness" on my shirt.

It's illegal to eat Koalas in Australia, but Spike decided to stuff this one in his backpack since he was going to New Zealand the following week.

Actually, we did a 4 day road trip (Me and voice actor Spike Spencer) and he wanted to stop in Hunter Valley to do wine tasting. I don't really like wine, and all I could think about was Pibb...if only I could find a damn Pibb!!! Anyway, I decided to be the designated driver and let Spike have his fun. Eventually, his ears turned red and i knew he was definitely having fun!

I hear it goes down nice with kangaroo and vegemite!

Take care,

Aggh! Veggemite!! At Brisbane, they brought me a "Plate of Doom" and forced me to sample veggemite on camera. It tasted like beer with a bucket of salt poured into it. But, I kept a straight face....wouldn't give em the satisfaction
