No. It's worse. It is absolutely worse. Faceless corporation versus real creative human being? I think I'll more often side with the person, even if there's a chance I'm wrong once in a blue moon, thank you.

I really don't know what's worse: the gleeful comments about Superman going to Marvel, or the angry comments against the Seigels.
Let me explain something to you guys: NOTHING WILL CHANGE. The Seigels want DC to keep publishing Superman and give them some of the money. Do you really think they have any interest in the running of actual property? A fuckload of money will change hands behind the scenes(and since this is AOL-Time Warner, think Monty Burns paying a million-dollar fine with pocket change), and it'll all be settled. Superman's not going to Marvel, DC isn't going to kill Superman like they did Superboy, and this will not affect you in any way.

I'll listen to the evidence presented and make my opinions based on that, ta

Angry comments about the Siegels are worse. That people who are supposedly comic book fans are willing to publicly trash the widow of Jerry Siegel is absolutely disgraceful, and does nothing to remedy the perception that adult readers of superhero comics are emotional retards too stupid to tie their own shoes.

And why is it only the popular characters that families do for? Nobody's trying to get a cut of all Rainbow Raider comics, are they?
Unfortunately ignorance (that it would last popular for this long) or desperation (for money because that was just after the Depression and at the start of America's involvement in WWII, right?) aren't valid excuses. Death Row is filled with the ignorant and desperate, but they did it and now they pay for it.
was rainbow raider created as a work for hire? because superman wasn't.

Don't visit the Newsarama forums, then. They are literally working themselves into a frenzy over this, and painting WB/DC as the victims. One poster actually stated that he felt that 'he' was due partial ownership as a Superman fan.
I tried to post reasonably, and finally gave up. It's like showing a dog a card trick.
Glad to see that they are living up to the nerd-raging basement-dwelling stereotype.
