I know about that, but I never read it. How the hell do you make armor out of skin?!
Is it just his ex girlfriend's skin all over his face, or has he actually found a way to turn human skin into armor?
We haven't seen him get back from Hell yet, have we?

Nope. I haven't read the arc, but I spend endless hours paging throu wikipedia for fun. Its part research and part love of general knowledge. And I was looking up stuff on Doom, and he trades his childhood sweethearts soul to a demon for magic power. And the demon gives him new leather armour made out of her skin. Which is great in an awful way.

It's more of a mystical armor. He sacrificed the life of his one true love to a trio of demons, in exchange for mystical powers beyond that of Dr. Strange.

I remember the cover. For some reason it reminds me of the makeshift armor he had after Heroes Return, when he was appearing before Sue Storm.
I actually don't like the skin armor, particularly because I don't see any clean way of going back to the metal.

A little. It was kind of a build up. The issue consists of him going through the world in search of this long lost love of his, and when he finds her, he tells her he'll give up all he has and does to have her back. He gives her a necklace, (not a pearl one, pervs) and she puts it on, and we watch as these mystic inscriptions start appearing on her skin, before it begins to peel off, and form itself around Doom's body.
