Wow, I was ABSOLUTELY sure he was already dead. I remember seeing clips of the one-handed push up from the Oscars thinking how sad it is that he's dead - and this was years ago when I thought that!

Curly died in the first one. Palance himself came back as his cousin(?) in the second.
