#11 – An Amano-Colan reunion! We met comic legend Gene Colan over a decade ago doing Artists’ Alley at various shows, and we were lucky enough to see them again in Chi-town.
#10 – Greg Horn, our Artists’ Alley neighbor, the second he realized that Bendis stole the huge wad of cash he had behind his table.
#9 – We were laughing about how different Mandy and I are while we were chilling at the booth, so my dad took this picture which I think pretty well demonstrates it (my hand is on the bottom). Just notice the nails, the wristwear…

Jim Mahfood and
Jose Garibaldi rocking live art at an extremely kick-ass party at the Black Beetle in Chicago. What more can you ask for – Jurassic 5 on deck, amazing art being created before your eyes, and a vodka and cranberry juice in hand. Sweet.
#4 – So Saturday night, Goddard got drunk and once again offered me eyeliner and lipstick to put on him. But I felt more like drawing than doing makeup.

#2 – Gareb Shamus, the cooler-than-cool chairman of Wizard, brought UFC fighters Jens Pulver and Justin Eilers by our booth since he knows my dad and I are big MMA fans. OH. MY. GOD.
#1 – Ok, this one definitely needs an explanation: this is at dinner Friday night – just at the second that the waiter snapped this picture, Andy Lee threw his hat up in the hair and squatted back down for the picture. Just the placement of the hat is what kills me.
