Anyone catch CRANK in theatres?

Going to grab The Illusionist in a little bit at Best Buy, was thinking of grabbing Crank as well for a possibly fun popcorn action flick. Thoughts?

I saw it with a buddy of mine in a theatre with two other people in it.

It was the most fun I've had at the cinema in years.

I saw it in the Theater. As long as you like crazy action movies it's good. The plots dumb, some of the action is very outlandish.


I think it's better than the Transporter 2.

I'd give it a rent first so you don't waste money but I really liked it.

It's one of those films that is review-proof, I.E. critics (ao, at least, the old, out of touch ones) were always going to hate it anyway, so they didn't matter.

For what it's worth, every magazine that's opinion I hold in any kind of regard thought it was great.

Whereas The Transporter movies were mindless popcorn action movies, Crank is misogynistic and, well, a little terrible. There is some decent fight choreography, but it doesn't save it.

I've only seen the first one, but I loved it, so I guess I'll give this a shot.
