Also, I would hold off buying either HD-DVD or B.R. until that medium war is decided. The difference in quality is noticeable but hardly necessary, even on a great TV.
If you do want to go B.R. just buy a PS3, it has the drive built in and you get a very nice videogame system. If you have an Xbox 360 they have a HD-DVD drive available as an accessory for fairly cheap. But, as I said, I would stay out of the race until you figure out which is going to win out.
