Didn't know the character, because I'm not big into DC (or oddly most comics, which is a wierd because I'm posting here), but judging from the write-ups I've read, it's a pretty sad way to go. Particularly to a character that appeared (in hindsight obviously) to have potential to blossom.

stephanie reminded me of the blond who gave me my name. While she and I no longer talk, I will always have a warm spont in my comic geek heart for spoiler
I wouldn't be surprised if it was her death that eventually lead Batgirl to her current path. It will be interesting if it comes up in the Titan's East arc.
