I just realized how smartly-designed this show is. Surrounding your neurotic female lead with a nearly all-male cast prevents it from becoming CAROLINE IN THE CITY, and having her be in charge of most of them avoids that tired-ass "a woman in a man's world" crap most sitcoms do.

Currently my second favorite sitcom on TV, and I really liked the sly STUDIO 60 gag this ep.

Yeah, I made that connection too. More of a Sorkin joke. But with the similarities between 30 Rock and Studio 60, i figured that was the joke that they were making.

I think I was sold on the show when they revealed that Tracey bit Dakota Fanning's face. I think Dakota Fanning's a great actress, but i couldn't stop laughing at Tina Fey trying to rationalize it.

You know, I thought that Tracy Morgan's character was going to bug the heck out of me at first.

They've done a great job of writing his crazy-ass stuff into the show so that it's fun.

"You taking lunch orders?"
"Yes, sir!"
"I want some nachos."
"Of course! Nachos!"
"From Yankee Stadium."

What's sad (for Studio 60, the much more hyped show) is that the sketches on 30 rock are way more amusing than the ones on Studio 60.

Bear vs. Robot? Who doesn't like that?

Goddamn Tina Fey and her ridiculous demands to keep it to only one bear! Like only one bear could legitimately fight a robot. The robot would tear it apart!
