While I don't live in Chicago, I do recommend Dark Tower Comic Books and Collectibles. The owner, Mark, is one helluva nice guy.
Some friends of mine recently moved to Chicago and are looking for a good LCS. Any suggestions?
What if Hayao Miyazaki directed Futurama...

Chicago Comics
It's fantastic. It's easily accessible from the Belmont station (bronw line/red line).
Also, Quimby's in Wicker Park.
In Schaumburg, you have Dreamland Comics. It is a great store that has everything.Originally Posted by Good & Evil

Dude. You so are not cut out for internet discussion boards. That lackadaisical, slack-arsed mindset might work "in the real world", but here on the net, small continuity errors and inconsistencies are the things a Jihad is made of. If you can't get spittle-froth at the corners of your mouth over the plot of a TV show, you're just owned.
They're currently in Homewood and have a car, so they can pretty much get anywhere they need to.Originally Posted by eroz

There's a spectacular store, which I like a lot better than Tenth Planet (no offense), called Alternate Reality, and it's on 111th Street just East of Kedzie Avenue. Great discounts (no pull list required), great backlog, and a huge selection of comics and related media.
It's very easy to get to from Homewood, too. Just take I-94 to 111th Street and head West.
