Chicago Boarders! Have need of your expertise

Some friends of mine recently moved to Chicago and are looking for a good LCS. Any suggestions?
What if Hayao Miyazaki directed Futurama...

While I don't live in Chicago, I do recommend Dark Tower Comic Books and Collectibles. The owner, Mark, is one helluva nice guy.

    Chicago Comics

It's fantastic. It's easily accessible from the Belmont station (bronw line/red line).

    Also, Quimby's in Wicker Park.

Well what part of Chicago or suburb are they living in? Do they have a car to drive around or are they relying on the cta to get around?

In Schaumburg, you have Dreamland Comics. It is a great store that has everything.

Dude. You so are not cut out for internet discussion boards. That lackadaisical, slack-arsed mindset might work "in the real world", but here on the net, small continuity errors and inconsistencies are the things a Jihad is made of. If you can't get spittle-froth at the corners of your mouth over the plot of a TV show, you're just owned.

They're currently in Homewood and have a car, so they can pretty much get anywhere they need to.

Easiest to find is probably Grahams Crackers or whatever it is called, it's near the giant silver kidney thingie.

ok...in that case Tenth Planet on 95th & Cicero is pretty good. They are in a strip mall. some of the other places mentioned on here are quite a distance from Homewood (roughly around 183rd & Dixie Highway).

There's a spectacular store, which I like a lot better than Tenth Planet (no offense), called Alternate Reality, and it's on 111th Street just East of Kedzie Avenue. Great discounts (no pull list required), great backlog, and a huge selection of comics and related media.

It's very easy to get to from Homewood, too. Just take I-94 to 111th Street and head West.
