Ah... I'm a bit busy and my brain's a bit scattered. Let's see if I can clarify.

Peter Parker, age 15, (from memory):

Spoilers:

a) has been thrown out of the house after revieling his secret identity to his aunt b) can't find his girlfriend with reason to suspect that whatever has happened to her can be tied back to him c) is reunited with his father after believing him to be dead d) has a dead girl walking around in his house e) said dead girl is Carnage f) doesn't know, but his girlfriend is now the Sasquach g) has a SHIELD unit ready to take him down in his front yard h) has been arrested by Fury i) is dealing with his aunt having a heart attack j) and whatever else I'm missing

This, to me, is much more damaging to a character than what is happening to the 616 Peter Parker.

A while back it was said that the next arc after the Clone Saga is "Death of the Goblin" and now that MJ is a Goblin that narrows it down to her, Harry and Norman. *shakes fist*

I dunno, tho'. The Goblin is Norman. Anyone else, whether in the original universe or this one, you have to specify... no one ever shortens "Hobgoblin"... If you say "the Goblin," you're talking about Norman. Of course, that could be a feint in this case...

You know..if I knew FOR SURE that MJ is safe next arc from being killed off..I would sit back and enjoy it, instead of biting my nails. But, on the bright side , I would so love to see her kick Kaine's ass. I think we may see that shortly.
Though when I said I was hoping to see MJ have some sort of way to even the playing field with Kitty, this is not what I meant.

Even knowing how long this arc goes on for, it still felt like the pacing was off. It was a good issue but it felt like it just set more stuff up that has to be figured out and wrapped up more quickly later on, which it might suffer for.

Still a good book though, if nothing else I enjoyed it for Peter's characterization, seeing him freak out and try and take out Fury while still entirely freaking out is just great, and one of those reminders that superheroes don't always have to be super heroic, sometimes it's great to see them acting human and with problems. Also, Torch's semi-throw away line about not having a lot of friends and how he's not going to lose this one was good, it would be nice to see Johnny more in this book after the clone saga.

I'll agree to that. I loved the Peter spazzing out scenes.

Yeah, that's the second time this month that one of Bendis' two page spreads got ruined by one of those. The irony being that this spread was for Ultimate Power, which was the first one that got ruined.

Yeah, that's the only thing that I hated about this issue. I'm really tempted to pull the crap out of there (and I like Ultimate Power, but come on!).

That said, this issue was awesome!
