It's really quit simple, he, like 99% of all comic fans, buy some books they either don't enjoy or find forgettable simply because of habit, or because it features a writer or a character they love so much they give them the benefit of the doubt despite lack of enjoyment. Or because they want to see the trainwreck.

We all do it, and we're all morons for it too. I'm trying to rectify this myself, but I still do it with a handful of titles.

I'm dropping a bunch of books now...Daredevil is one. I've liked Brubaker's direction so far, but I dont find myself interested in it anymore. So Im gonna stop getting it. When the trade comes out I might get it, I might not. But not buying it monthly will save me some money.

Im doing the same thing with All Star Batman mainly because it doesnt come out all that often so Ill just get the trade.

Well, eventually you can only take so much and reason typically does win out in the end, but right there, it took five issues of All Star Batman to decide it's not worth it, even though it's had shipping issues since day one and it was pretty easy to see by even issue 2 how, uh, "atypcial" it was.

It took me up to issue 17 of New Avengers before I realized that it's not the kind of book I think Bendis should be writting and nixed it forever. It happens.

Why not just give the comics you don't like to somebody who might like them? Or ebay?

Guilty as charged, until recently anyway. I've literally dropped about 90% of what I was buying previously.

but i am loving this book. it is good fun and between this and the other two spidey books i havent liked spider mann this much in a looooong time

so if you dont like it dont get it
you act like reading this book will get you herpes
