Heroes lie broken and bloodied on the battlefield.

Uatu is just standing there, watching in disbelief as the 616 is torn asunder.

Franklin Richards, thought to be the one who will save the day, lies unconcious and in a coma, blood trickling from his nose.

And then, the most unlikely hero of all appears:
