I've always felt that all the characters act out of character in that episode. But then again, that's probably part of the point of the episode.

i dont think you can really say that, because one of the biggest parts of the show, is that you know the bare minimum about the characters and their personal lives...
especially 8 or 9 years ago...

Really? They all came off very IC to me.

Claire had always been anti death penalty and a bit of a bleeding heart. She and Jack butted heads a lot over this.

Lennie used to have problems with drinking and a shaky relationship with his dauther(s).

Ray's bits were the only ones that made me go all wtf?!, but then, it figures that someone as preachy and self-righteous would end up sliping and biting his tongue.
