Good God! Jack & Bobby Was REALLY Good Tonight [Spoilers]

Seriously.

The season's been pretty solid as a whole, but tonight's episode really got to me. The entire cast of characters have been built up really well...and then BAM! they killed off Missy.

I knew she wasn't long for this world with last week's Very Special Episode about both teen pregnancy AND abortion, but this week's Very Special Episode about drunk driving was much solider. I'm watching the replay on A-Channel, and Matt Long's performance (especially at the end when he's trying in vain to save her via CPR) is tight.

I hope this series gets renewed. And hell, if it don't, I'm still buying the DVD.

And this episode SO felt like a season finale with all the crazy status-quo changing shit going down. Look at Smallville: their season finales always have BAD SHIT going down on all fronts. The Tornado during the school dance at the end of Season 1 and Clark having to choose between Chloe & Lana. Clark leaving town on a motorcycle while hooked on red kryptonite at the end of Season 2. Everyone either disappearing (Clark), getting poisoned (Lex) or nearly dying (Chloe & Pa Kent) at the end of Season 3. And Season 4's ending with graduation in Smallville.
