Has that Check 21 thing changed anything?

Cause I still write checks tuesday evening knowing I don't get paid until 8am Thursday morning. Float on... float on...

Is it because i'm in the south and they are just taking thier time down here with switching over? I've noticed no one doing the computerized check thing at all.

BB & T offers it now here in North Carolina. When I got to my online account access, my checking account has scans of my canceled checks.

But it doesn't stop me, no.

I haven't noticed any change in the speed that checks I write clear..but I also do almost all my purchasing and bill paying with my debit card...so I only have my rent check to go by.

Cool... I have noticed that. I get a cdr now with my checks on it each month from my credit union...but they was putting this whole "checks will clear in minutes" thing all in the newspaper and shit...

and it still takes Best Buy upteen days to cash a check, Sam's club is still slow, Kroger is damn near pathetic. What happened to the checks clearing almost instantly thing? Just bs and talk or will 2006 get here and i'll be all fucked up.

I've noticed that for some of the bills I pay I used to be able to write the check Sunday, mail it Monday and not have to sweat it until Thursday, sometimes even Friday. Now, esp. with the credit card bills, they're hitting Wednesday like clockwork.
