    Dan Slott appreciation thread!

After reading Dan completely and totally own an idiot on Newsarama earlier today, I thought this thread would be appropriate.

So thanks Dan, for not only being a great writer and writing some of my recent favorite comics, but for also being a stand-up guy. Every post of yours I've read either on here or on Newsarama has been really enthusiastic and positive and fun to read. And when people start jackassing around, you don't stoop to their level and instead calmly present the facts, proving them wrong. It's nice to see people who obviously are passionate about their job, but at the same time seem approachable and friendly. Come to Austin sometime and I'll buy ya a drink!

Hey are you referring to the "Which book will be cancelled first" thread? Man that is some funny stuff. Dan's Newsarama posts are often entertaining.

I've been a Dan Slott fan since picking up the first She Hulk trades (just after the second one was released) and then the GLA mini series really sparked my interest in his previous work. So much so, not only have I been buying all of his new stuff, I've had to track down loads of his old stuff, including all of "the best of Dan Slott, according to Dan Slott".

I've got a lot left yet to find, and I'm sure I'll get round to it someday. The problem is there are so many good new comics coming out every week, it's hard to find money to buy back issues too.

My main regret with Mr Slott is that I only buy She-Hulk in trade, if I switched to singles, I'd have to buy all the back issues in singles. OCD is a bitch.

Anyway, thanks Dan for writing such awesome comic books.
Also thank you for the Word Balloon interview, it was a hoot, you are clearly very passionate about comics.

Can't you mix your She-Hulk TPBs with new issues? That's what I did. The difference in format is slightly frustrating (TPBs are better for lending and shelving than the magazine format; I can't store vol 1 with vol 2 so easily) but that's my fault for not picking it up in the first place! (I thought a book called She-Hulk was gonna SUCK! duhhhh)

    Thanks!

An awesome read! Dan, you rule!

And by the way, I didn't read She-Hulk until issue 9 of volume 2. I really had a hard time getting into it -- I didn't feel like I was a member of the club. After reading issue 11, I am hooked and in the process of running down the back issues.

My LCS already knows to put me down for one of whatever your new book is.
