GOOD MORNING VIETNAM and DEAD POETS SOCIETY

I think both are pretty great movies, but they really do follow the same formula too closely.

GMV is a great movie. Not a big DPS fan though.

Dead Poets Society sucks. I haven't seen Good Morning Vietnam in ages, so I can't remember if it's good or not.

Why? That was the most manipulative, dishonest and saccarhine movie ever made.

I am on notice with a cool comic artist. I can live with that.

Thanks, Clint. Say, didn't you hate Dead Poets Society, how that kid killed himself because his dad didn't want him to be in that play? Didn't you hate how it was supposed to be about a great teacher, teaching kids to love poetry, but all they learned was to love the teacher? Oh, and a couple of pullquotes from Byron to bang chicks? Wasn't it just a crap movie all around?

I don't remember much. I had to watch it when I was in some class, but I am not sure if it was HS or college. Either way, I pretty much tuned if off and thought about Jumanji!

Wrong. That would be Forrest Gump.
