    Donnie and I Are Gluttons

It's amazing how much you find out you're spending when you actually keep track of it. Donnie and I are doing the "Dreaded Talk" today about finances. He insists that he needs to get a second job, but I asked him to wait, let's see if our spending habits could be trimmed. And LORDY can they!

I just made a chart that I have vowed to update daily, all color-coded and shee-it. Blue is for food, including fast food and otherwise. Blue has so far (in two days) dominated the board. Yeah I know it may just look bad now, and once Fixed Bills gets on there I'm going to start crying, but seriously $114.16 on food in two days for two people?! We can't eat that much! Wow.

That eating out adds up pretty quickly. Same thing happened to me and my wife. We cut it back and slowly we creep back into eating out more.

Drop things you absolutely do not have to have and I mean everything.

Figure out your basic needs (rent, food, utilities, other "have to" bills)

    Then see where you are.

At this point you can see what extra stuff you can add back in. (Cell phone, cable, comics, etc)

    Emjoy.

eating out is one thing, eating fastfood is another...every weekend my wife and i go out to eat usually twice, and between dinner on friday and brunch on sunday the total is around 60$.

    114 is incredibly excessive
