yeah, the first trade, didn't care for it
probably wouldn't have finished it if i hadn't promised so many people here i'd give it an honest shot
it didn't hold my interest
Did you ever read Astro City yet?

I've never read it before, is it really as good as everyone says it is?
if you're a hard-core superhero fan, you'd probably like itOriginally Posted by joeAR
it's sort of a concentrated retro capes and tights thing
it was okay, just the complete opposite of my cup of tea
I thouttght it was good, but it never quite lived up to the hype for me. The retro feel just didn't work.

Finally, I feel not alone. I read the Batman and Robin trade. I forgot what it was called. I was so bored. A book about superheroes about superheroes.Originally Posted by ImprovingGODDARD

I'm just not interested in super stories. I'll read Marvel books for that. There are so many things to write about, but our market is dominated by new books coming up about super stuff. There's nothing wrong with people creating it, I just wish it wasn't the overwhelming majority of what's available/popular in American comics.
having said that, i'm psyched about the next DD
Every single person in this entire thread is now my enemy.
If I ever finish my comic book, it'll have superheroes in it... and swordfights...
