Folks,
I am finishing up my order to turn in to my retailer... This is for the comics coming out in September. Anyone got a clue as to whether the Great Lakers will be in that month's issue of Cable & Deapool (#32)?
Thanks for any info.
Did anyone buy this yet?
I'm thinking about picking it up this weekend. I don't currently read Cable/Deadpool, but hear it raved about by some other posters. Is the Great Lakes Champions appearance good enough to warrant purchase? (I'd be trying it out for their appearance, not the Civil War banner on the cover).
I've not read it properly yet, but it looks like the GLC turn up in the front half of the issue, and won't be appearing any further in the story. Looks like fun, but I'm not the best person to ask. Pretty cool that they appear on the cover though.
If you're a fan of the GLA/X/C, then I would definately recommend picking up the issue. As Tom Fetsur mentioned, they are only in the first part of the story---but it is still a great part.Originally Posted by mrorangesoda

I would say yes the book is always very funny. Issue 31 was great too.
The only problem with Cable & Deadpool is the plot isn't always very... good. There are some issues, and even arcs, which I found incredibly confusing.
I believe Marvel maybe sending the first trade back to print - it's currently selling for ridiculous amounts of money on ebay, as much as $80!!! If they do send it back to print then I'd recommend picking that one up, then if you like that you can pick up the others.
Also the art is a lot better in the first 24 issues (issues 1 & 2 drawn by the amazing Mark Brooks, and issues 3-24 drawn by the almost-as-amazing Patrick Zircher).
I'm a massive Deadpool fan myself, so I'd probably buy the book even if it was awful, but there are some truly great issues, issue 19 of C&DP was especially strong in that respect, as we got to see more of Deadpool's past.
Actually the eBay prices have no relevance on whether the book gets reprinted. If you want a copy of an out-of-print TPB, tell your local retailer to reorder, as that's the ONLY way Marvel can find out for sure whether there's any interest.
My apologies I wasn't clear - the ebay comment was intended as just a side note. The reason I thought they might be reprinting was because of a note from Nicole Boose (the C&DP) editor in the latest issue's Dear Deadpool;Originally Posted by Tom Fetsur
