Is there any news about an Ultimate Thor title?

Out of all the potential Marvel projects out there (other than ROM Spaceknight of course) this is the one I want the most. The story of what Thor and Loki really are, if there is an Asquard, ect.

It's unlikely that Millar will deal with it too much before Ultimates 2 ends. But that's a good thing in a way because I think the character and subject easily desearve thier own book instead of staying just a plotline in a team title.

So who should do it? Millar is the best choice of course since he created the characters but it seems unlikely he'd be up for it. Gaimen would be perfect, he's the best at the "the Gods walking amoung mortals" stories like American Gods and Sandman, ect. But again, seems very unlikely.

Ellis maybe?

I'd be interested in a mini series about his origin, but I'm against anymore ongoing Ultimate titles.

I think a Mini would be a great idea. But, I'd rather 616 Thor came back and established itself first.

But Ultimate Thor is far and above the better character. He actually makes sense in a real world context, he fits in and socializes. He's a fully rounded character, where 616 Thor was never anything more than his God persona.

An ongoing about a hippy with the powers of a God? That's the best! And I could easily see the rest of the pantheon of Gods showing up as Loki did, in disquise walking amoung us or becoming heroes with real human personalities, blending Norse Mythology with every day life. Fantastic!

Why? I could easily see it growing to 10-12 ongoings, it's a Universe that unlike most 'Elseworlds' really is worth exploring.

It could, but I really like the intimate structure of the Ultimate Universe. Once Ultimates ends and they start intergrating the titles better it should be all the sweeter.

Also, I buy WAY too many books a month as is.
