I got condescended to by the flautist type of guy from Islands, all of which was seen by the obnoxious guy from the Unicorns, who probably condescended too, but all quiet like.

which songs don't you like?

I don't remember exactly what was said, as it was many years ago, but basically:

I was about 16, in the front row at a Ben Kweller show at which the Unicorns were the opening act. When they came on, they said something about how great Detroit was, and I yelled back "not so much!" or something stupid like that, because Detroit really isn't that great. So he just railed on me for about two minutes while he was still playing, about how I shouldn't just bitch about something and then not do anything about it, as if a) having some problems with Detroit means I'm not allowed to voice said concerns unless I run for mayor 2) I could just move away when I'm a sophomore in high school.

I still like them a lot, but that was kind of a bummer.

luckily i never had any bad experiences with bands/artists i like.
