That's because Thor isn't crazy and isn't lying. The team went with the story because it was Loki, the GOD OF LIES, that told it to them.

You will notice Thor's brother Loki in the background of issue 3's lunch with Volstagg scene.
This is the way I'm leaning, too. I don't care how much Norwegians pay in tax dollars, the level of technology needed to go into something like an artificial Thor is out of Norway's reach.

    Silly Norwegians.

Teen Titans #22- This comic is good on a regular basis. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Geoff has made the titans the centerpiece of the DC universe. It ties the world of DC together cohesively. Dr. light is shaping up to be pretty formidable villain. My only problem with this issue is the Batman/Deathstroke and Ravager/Batgirl scene. He left this unexplained to someone who doesn't read Outsiders. They only reason I knew was because of what I found out online. The last few pages make it worth it though.

Young Avengers #2- I'm liking this book still, I just wish that we could learn more about the first four members before they introduce new team members. Other than Iron Lad, we really know nothing about the team. I'm going to give it until the end of the first arc. I like it so far, but the book hasn't grabbed me for the long haul yet.

Ex Machina #9- I was kind of losing interest in this book. This storyline wasn't doing a whole lot for me. With this issue, I got dragged right back in. BKV is in top form here. The last panel was a hell of a cliffhanger. Could we see Hundred back in costume soon? He's talking to his suit about he glory days. A villain tied to his origins is popping up. Probably my favorite single issue since number one.

Ultimates 2 #4- Wow. Really, Wow. I wish the next issue came out tomorrow.

    SPOILERS BELOW

I'm kinda in the Thor is really a God camp. Especially, since you get a peak at his half-brother in the cafe a scene a few issues back. I also kinda hope Thor kicks the Ultinate collective ass. It be nice to see these unstoppable characters get their butts handed to 'em by the most powerful character n the Ultimate U.

Am I the only one here reading Black Panther? I was disappointed in #1, and to be honest, I'm not sure why I picked up #2, but I'm glad I did. It was better than the first, with a lot more actualy story in this one.

And while I liked Young Avengers #2 as much as everyne else, I have a feeling this time travel business can't turn out well in the long run. I don't even try to understand how time travel works in the MU, but suppose he really does avoid becoming Kang... That's got to screw up lots of stuff unless they somehow explain an alternative Kang... owie, my brain hurts.

I read the first run of Ultimates in one sitting in the TPs, so the pacing of the books feels really weird to me. I hate that after last month, we don't get so much as a panel of Banner. I really like the direction Millar's going with Thor. And where did Wanda and Pietro come from? I think I missed it whenever they were introduced. Are they on the team now, or simply friends of Janet's? And dare I even ask about how the Ultimate Galactus trilogy fits in with this timeline? Didn't think so...

Pietro and Wanda joined in Ult. War, way back when. They have made small appearances every since, but they really don't seem to like to fraternize with the lower species. There the team Euro-Trash.

Ex Machina 9 - I'm not finding the gay marriage issue as interesting as the lincoln nigger in terms of the political stuff. I wish there was more about the killings/subway.

Ultimates 4 - was I the only one who thought it was merely okay? Underwhelming even? I think the next couple issues will be awesome, though.

Captain America 4 - My fav this week. I've never bought cap before, and now it might be my favorite series.

Don't get me wrong, I like Ultimates, but the book could be better. The way I see it, the last few issues included some great ideas, but I don't think those ideas are being explored to their full potential.[/quote]

    Bought/Thought for 3-16-05

    Uncanny X-Men # 457 (Claremont/Davis/Farmer)
Good book from Claremont! First time in a long time I actually found myself enjoying a Claremont penned story, and for that alone, I decided to list it first here. Lots of nice touches, especially the tip o’ the hat to Tom Baker’s Dr. Who which had me giggling like a schoolboy.

    Ex Machina #9 (Vaughan/Harris/Feister/Mettler)
Hol-lee… Damn, this title just keeps getting better and better. Seriously, this may just be the best issue of the entire run. Everything from Jackson’s 9/11 speech, to the Gay Marriage part, to all the rest (No spoilers here. I don’t want to ruin anything, it’s just too damn good) was as close to perfect as it can get. This is one damn fine piece of Comic book literature.

    Ultimates 2 #4 (Millar/Hitch/Neary)
Millar is giving us one wild ride. At this point I just don’t know if it’s really Thor or if it even matters if he’s delusional or not. This book is TIGHT! You want the total package? Story, Art, Characters, drama, action, and humor? It’s all here. Tight.

    Wolverine #26 (Millar/Romita Jr./Janson)
A number of words come to mind: “WooT!” “Buh-MUA-HAHAA!” “Holeeee…” and “YEEHA!”
I love the pacing and non-stop action of this tale. My advice to Fury in the next ish… UNLEASH THE HOUND!

    Ultimate X-Men #57 (Vaugn/Immonen/VonGrawbadger)
Excellent wrap up with a twist I definitely did not see coming. The narrative seemed a bit … fragmentary, but it tied itself up nicely by the end. This arc will make an excellent TPB.

    Teen Titans #22 (Johns/McKone/Alquiza)
Very cool stuff… right up until the Hawk and Dove section, then it completely lost me. Seemed like a very strange time to try to introduce 2 new players, along with a fair portion of their backstory and whether it was worse to visit day or spend a weekend at Georgetown. Awww poor babies. Nice ploy on Starfire’s part though. Quick distraction, then BAM! Overall, good stuff.

    Ultimate Spider-Man #74 (Bendis/Bagley/Hanna)
Nice stuff. I especially liked the DeWolfe scene. I’m not sure I buy it, but I like it. Also it’s nice to get a little bit of the old Parker-soap opera back. The rooftop scene was especially poignant (n’ shit)

    Marvel Knights 4 #16 (aguirre-Sacasa/Muniz/Royal/Rebar)
I likes me a good time-travel yarn, I do .Jury’s still out on whether this is one or not, but it’s a fun read so far.

    Birds of Prey #80 (Simone/Benes)
Well, I’m not sure what got wrapped up here (I have the feeling it wasn’t much) but I’m enjoying being along for the ride. I’m a bit sad that this was Benes’ last ish. Hopefully he’ll come back to it soon. This is too good a team to break up, both in and out of the story.

Stormbreaker: The Saga of Beta ray Bill #3 (Oeming/Berman/DiVito/Villari)
Nifty action sequences highlight this chapter, and an equally nice splash page at the end!

    JLA #112 (Busiek/Garney/Green)
Wow. That’s some serious kick-ass action! Don’t know who half the heroes are (JLElite? Who the heck is Faith?) but they seemed relatively harmless in this format. Actually they seemed more like filler than anything else, which raises the question where the rest of all the old JLA has gotten to, but I didn’t find their presence too intrusive.

    Young Avengers #2 (Heinberg/Cheung/Dell)
Well, they’re young enough… but they aren’t very Vengeful, are they? I mean… shouldn’t there be some avenging of some sort? Maybe they could talk about avenging some terrible wrong, then go out for starbucks. That’d be alright.
Seriously, This is actually turning out to an interesting read… and it’s got some time travel too! And there’s this rumor going around… I likes me a good time travel story.

Shaolin Cowboy #2 -Great fucking issue. Geof Darrow is the mad genius of comics. It's a damned crime though that Shaolin Cowboy and Doc Frankenstein are not doing better in sales. They are two of the most entertaining books out there.

Young Avengers #2 - I am enjoying this more than I thought I would. Great book. I saw some reviewers knock the Kang showing his younger self his origin because they already know it. But, I look at it as showing anyone who is just picking it up because they dig the OC and they are finishing that issue not knowing who the fuck Kang is.

I caught up on a few weeks

Captain America #4 This book continues to be the best book on the stands every month. More Crossbones, more General Lukin, and more of the greatness in both story and art that is delivered each and every issue. This was the first issue of the new series that didn't score a perfect 10 with me, but just barely. 9/10

Uncanny X-men #457 This is really shaping up to be a classic in the making from Claremont and Davis. I'm loving Astonishing X-men, but Uncanny is more like the X-Men that I fell in love with all those years ago. 9/10

Wolverine #26 A great beginning to Millar's second storyline, which is basically just an extension of the first. I think I would have preferred it to be counted as an epic 12 part story, instead of just another 6 parter. RomitaJr. continues providing great visuals, and I really get a kick out of the Gorgon and Elsbeth Von Strucker's relationship. Ewwww. 9/10

Hulk #79 Like the first issue, this was far too quick of a read. The second issue was fine, but not the first and third. I prefer my comics to have dialogue, because that tells me the writer is putting serious effort into the book, and not just getting it written quickly to earn a paycheck. Shame on you, PAD. I still like the story, but he needs to stop trying to follow current trends so much and just write like Peter David does. 6/10

Black Panther #2 I'm still waiting to be blown away by something. Some of the dialogue seems amateurish as if Hudlin is trying to give unimportant characters something to say , and not letting them speak naturally. The natives sometimes speak like american teenagers, and that's not very good writing. Romita Jr. provides some nice work. We'll see if the 3rd issue will be good enough for me to continue buying this. 7/10

Stormbreaker #3 Andrea Di Vito is awesome, and I can't wait to see him on The Thing with Dan Slott. I have no idea why Marvel didn't push him in their Young Guns program. Unfortunately, it was yet another of those 5 minute reads, and that's getting frustrating with the 6 part stories that are written with the trade collection in mind philosophy. 6/10

Marvel Team Up #6 The conclusion to one of the most fun superhero stories I've read in recent years. It wasn't concerned with being too dark and serious, it was only concerned with over the top superheroics, and I enjoyed every minute of it. 8/10
