I've worked for DC in the past on JUSTICE LEAGUE CLASSIFIED, ARKHAM ASYLUM: LIVING HELL, BATMAN ADVENTURES, SUPERMAN ADVENTURES, and JUSTICE LEAGUE ADVENTURES.
So I already got to play around with a number of my favorite DCU characters (Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Superman, Krypto, Flash, The Creeper, Plastic Man, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern (Stewart), The Atom, Martian Manhunter, the Batman Rogues, the Flash Rogues, The Superman Rogues, Chronos, Chemo, and a LOT of the New Gods).
Out of the guys I HAVEN'T gotten to play with?
I love Deadman! Boston Brand is AWESOME! Pitched a lot of Deadman stuff that didn't get picked up. Would KILL to do some Captain Marvel & the Marvel Family. Also have some crazy love for the silver age Doom Patrol. Never got to play with Mr. Miracle & Big Barda. I also like Firestorm, Blue Beetle (Ted Kord), Green Lantern (Jordan), Man-Bat, and some of the real oddball characters like The Metal Men, Metamorpho, Ultra: The Multi-Alien, and Space Ranger & Cryll.
When I pitched the Arkham Asylum book, I also pitched a book-- a 12 issue limited series-- with an all-new DCU character. DC liked it! If I hadn't sold Marvel on my SHE-HULK pitch, after my JLA:Classified story was done, there's a chance I could've moved onto that next. And there were a TON of Batman, Superman, and Green Lantern ELSEWORLDS projects I pitched & wanted to do. Like mad. And the Superman office really, really liked one of 'em! And Ryan Sook and I had a sequel planned for Arkham Asylum. But, honestly? I'm at Marvel-- I'm MUCH more of a Marvel Fan-- and I couldn't ask for better gigs than working on stuff like Spider-Man, Thing, Avengers, and She-Hulk.
Short answer? Yes.![]()
