Yeah, Dan has said that this book does have an impact on She-Hulk's life in her series.
If you read She Hulk, I'm thinkin you might want to look at the Two Gun Kid one shot this week. Could be wrong, but something appears to happen there that you'll end up reading about later.
carlgiannini: All I wanted to know is what trades have been released. Now I've committed to spend an extra hundred or two on comics. What happened here?
The Lord Retail: I happened. Lord Retail happened to you. I'm sorry friend, but I simply can't turn it off..

Oh yeah, that's for sure.
Plus it's a damn fine book in itself. The 'classic' Rawhide Kid story wasn't especially riveting, but the Hugo story (the world's smallest cowboy) had plenty of warped laughs in it. As for Matt Hawk, I really liked his story - for its length it was pretty involving, and it honestly felt like it'd covered more pages than it did. Nothing cramped or over-simplified in it. I'm no Western expert (I've read Flashman and the Redskins, that's about it - oh, and I used to be pretty good at the 'Bury My Shell At Wounded Knee' level of TMNT Turtles In Time, but that probably doesn't count), but so far as I could tell the story made a good show at being accurate for the period, as well as entertaining. And the 'showdown' had a very satisfying western feel - it wasn't a high-noon-in-Main-Street scene, but it had the soul of one.
As for the She-Hulk-related wraparound... yeah'To be continued in She-Hulk #11' - and it'll certainly make reading #9-10 an interesting build-up.
Props to Dan: I bought this not because I'm into westerns, but just because of the She-Hulk link, but it turned out to be worth my money on its own merits. I'll never doubt you again![]()
I really enjoyed this issue. I was happy when Two Gun joined She Hulk's supporting cast, and am very pleased that he was given such a good single issue.
I do wish that Marvel had released this after She Hulk 10. Not only would the story not be partially (and unitentionally) spoiled, but the Two gun one shot probably would have received a sales boost from the She Hulk readers. I imagine plenty of them who missed this issue will end up digging through back issue bins.
"But don't ALL a' ya got two guns?"
And then he went and justified the title!! Excellent read, as ever.
