People are legitimatly paying $50-70 for a copy of MST3K The Movie on DVD?

    That's....that's just ridiculous.

Hell, I remember buying two copies (one for me and one for a friend) in 2000 for $10 a piece.

Sure, it's an ok movie, but it's a terrible DVD and just because it's OOP doesn't mean people should be willing to pay such a ridiculous price.

I guess that's just me, though.

It goes that high because there is demand for it. simple as that.

I completly agree with you, and wish they'd release a new version of the movie on DVD, however.

also wish I had bought the DVD when I had the chance...

It pops up on cable every once in a blue moon too. It's not like it's an OOP Critierion disc or anything.

I've yet to see it on cable and it's just as hard to rent.

I have never heard of this movie. However, I have heard of Criterion DVD's going for much higher. Salo' goes for about $150-$200 a pop.

yeah, same goes for the Disney OOP DVDs. I've always been able to get great copies (used) on ebay for like $25 - $30 but some of the most sought after OOP still in package movies go for crazy money.
