Was he using his microns? I know he uses them, among other tools, including brushes obviously. Alot of guys are using microns now, including myself. I was a slave to technical pens for over twenty years, until I started noticing guys like Mike Oeming and Andy McDonald were using Microns on their finished art. They work just as well as technical pens, and they don't clog and crap.

SOmetimes Micro pens, but mostly I use uniball writing pens and a watercolor brush #3

I like cheap supplies, keeps me humble. That and cleaning the cat litter.
