    Computer Problems

My computer has been wonky lately. It's been beeping very loudy (which I'm sure is a warning of something, I'm just not sure what of) and after it beeps for some time, it then shuts off.

The odd thing is, my boyfriend is a user on the same computer, and has a different user profile, and it doesn't happen when he's under his ID.

    So?

When does it beep? What were you doing before it starts beeping?

It beeps often, and mostly without reason. Often when I'm on myspace, but that's the only one that I've noticed a pattern with.

If it's not coming from your speaker, but inside your case, whip out your manual. It should have a section for BIOS beeps. You can diagnose it with the guide.

It actually is coming from the speaker, because I can turn the volume down on it.

Hmm...have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the sound drivers? Also, make sure it's not one of those stupid fucking flash-based ads on myspace. I had one of thsoe going for awhile and I was kinda smashed when this happened to me, so I couldn't figure out what was making this one repetitive noise.

It always happens before it shuts off though.
