DARICK ROBERTSON: I feel a lot of frustration and regret when I look back. Not unlike breaking up with a girl who you loved but cheated on you all the time. I still think the Marvel characters are great, but I was never given the time and support I needed to achieve my potential at Marvel.

For my own art to grow, I really needed to be inking my own stuff and to slow down a bit, and focus on one book. Wildstorm is giving me that opportunity where Marvel seemed to just want me to draw faster and faster without losing quality.

There was a lot of pressure and little communication about what was next. That insecurity started affecting my work and I just lost enthusiasm for anything there, feeling it was futile to put any real heart into my work, as they would ultimately just censor anything challenging. In the MAX days I had a place at the table and when the shift went back to status quo, I was not feeling welcome anymore.

Why was he rushed and other artists given ALOT more time to work?
