I just got 2 parking tickets within half an hour. FUCK!!!

I leave my place so I can go to Cingular to get my SIM card replaced, get to my car, BAM! $65 ticket for parking in a red zone. I had no idea what a red zone was, I've only been here a week and never had to deal with this at school or home, and even if I did, it's always dark by the time I get home from work.

So I drive over to the Cingular store, pull down a street to find the first open space on the curb, get my phone fixed, come out, and see a parking cop, and almost start weeping. She indicates the car I'm approaching, and asks if it's mine, I (relieved) say "Nope, mines the blue one over there." She asks if it's the Ford, and when I say yes, she tells me I got a ticket. I then start to beg her to help me out, since I can't afford a ticket because I'm not earning any money this summer, she tells me too bad, she already entered it in, and there's nothing I can do. Another fucking $40.

I can't believe my horrible fucking luck. I want to try to call and appeal them, at least the $65 one, but I also don't want to pay them regardless, and I'm thinking if I call, they know I got the ticket, and I can't just pretend it never happened. The meter maid cunt told me I can always just pay it at my next registration, which, if true, is fine with me since we just registered it last week, and I'm selling the car in 3 months when I head back home.

Sorry to get all emo and personal, I just can't believe I got 2 in a row like that. And the worst part is, I can't tell my mom because I'll just get an earful from her, but $105 is a lot of money right now.

I once got two traffic tickets within 45 minutes. The first one was for speeding on my way to St. Paul because I was late for a date. The second was because after getting to St. Paul, I was lost (which happens every time I go there) and missed a red light because I was looking for street signs. Fortunately, there wasn't much traffic because it was Sunday night.

The sign said 2 hour parking, and then underneath it, MON-FRI, which I failed to see in my frantic search for a spot. Driving around right after receivng the first ticket probably wasn't a great idea, I'm just glad I didn't mistakenly run a red light because I was looking at the ticket still.

I'm confused. It's Saturday. The 2 Hour Parking only seems to apply Mon-Fri. So how did you get a ticket? You could've parked there all day and been fine.

Fuck it, leave your car somewhere else and report it stolen. Then you won't have to pay for any tickets it incurred while the car thieves had it. Probably. I dunno. There may be some downside to this plan, like jail time for perjury. Worth a shot, though.
