Behind my back, my wife goes to buy it for me sneaky minx that she is.
When we get home she proudly pulls the Variant cover out of her various shopping bags and hands it to me. I asked her why she paid so much for it when I wouldn't. She looks at me and says "he charged me cover price".

I used to try to get my wife to go pick up my comics every week because she would get free shit and a bigger fucking discount! But she says the comic store is "too creepy."
