Thanks ROBBO yep lets all hand jobs out to each other

How shall we do this. Shall we say a couple of days to come up with a kabuki related sketch and then we scan and pass it on to the other to person.

Say i'll pass to Thommy, Thommy passes to Jac, and Jac passes to me.

Sketch only first and then on the second rotation colouring the image so it's a triple treat (i.e. part of all of us ).

The only thing is, i know i'm going to be a little slow due to my current workload (but very keen so i'll find the time), so we could say a week for each process.

What do you think?

You have some awesome versions of Kabuki there! I just can't pick a favourite, they are all soo cool!

I love the way you hung the masks that you made too. I've been trying to figure out how to hang mine in our hallway, but just haven't got the right idea yet.

Looks great! Only crit i have is bad Dad looks a little frozen, angry/defeated? but frozen in place. Might be the legs... Insipred by your work, keep 'em coming!

I'm part way through that Kabuki sketch, shoudl be able to post something on Monday.

More..ok,thanks for your sujetions, i agree robbo..i feel the problem is the dad is on a slant forward due to sloppy placement ,luckly it aint a finel image,thanks keep your eyes shape for me,its so hard to spot these mistakes..look forward to painting your that sketch and heres a cover idea i am working onhttp://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/1...or%20queen.jpg

I set my self a task..1 hour to draw and paint ICE..I used photo ref of Yun-fei who is the best Ice i know and did the drawing in the layers technique the way i like doing infact i did it a little different from sad girl ,,then scanned and painted and finished on time cos i am hungry and want my honet nut loops.i would want to do more details on the face and fluffy coat thing but rules are rules..Anyone can use my drawing to colour.
I am interested what can be done show this old dog likes new tricks

Hi Thommy,

Phew! Managed to scan this in.

Basic idea behind the piece started off with Kabuki beign a pawn of the Noh and then escaping with the doctors hand & bag and then gaining her new face and some semblance of freedom.



Let me know if the image is not good enough i have also scanned it as a better JPG image which vary from 1MB to 6MB in size. PM me if you want me to email mail them through to somewhere.

Can't wait to see the painted piece. (Was also thinking you can add anything you like to it, maybe a chessboard disappearing into the background and merging up to some astral scene....) Go WILD dude!
