Some pictures from the Comic Art Museum in SF

On the first night of APE there was an after-reception at the Cartoon Art Museum. I took these pictures before I realized photos weren't allowed. They also had a lot of crumb art, some amazing Eisner and Seth pages, and a page from planetary, which I was very happy to see. Oddly the only Mignola piece they had was a green lantern cover or something, which I was kind of disappointed about. Jeffrey Brown, Love and Rockets, and old pages from Krazy Kat, etc were on display. Chris ware and Spiegalman both had pieces up, and they also had a showcase from the McSweeny's that Ware edited.

    it was pretty amazing.
they also had silent auctions going for art from Strangers In Paradise, signed sin city stuff, and had a whole prize table full of bone books, among other cool things.

Seeing original peanuts pages was very, very moving.
