    9/11 deaths vs "War on Terror"

    2,752 Americans died on 9/11/2001.
    So far, 2,589 Amercans have died in the wars in Iraq --2,318-- and Afghanistan (271).

    I'd remove the Afghanistan part from that equation. That did qualify as the war on terror because Afghanistan was an actual terror state. Iraq on the other hand..well you know.

    I guess I wonder about this on the whole "is it worth it?" scale. If more people die as a result of the alleged reaction to 9/11 than died in the event itself, what have we accomplished?

    If we prevented at least one more 9/11, it pays for itself! Lives are like money!
