I thought you were talking about the movie... the movie is about the longest 2 and a half hours ever watching a movie (outside of Triumph of the Will that is) you will ever spend. I can't comment on the book.
I do love me some Kyle Baker, but is this book worth getting?

It's also painfully racist. It is a very uncomfortable and long 2+ hours. I don't recommend it.Originally Posted by nhale97

That and I wasn't sure if the book was AS racist as the move (I'm aware its the same subject matter which is inheritly racist but DW Griffin from what I understand kept the most racist stuff from the book and cut out other stuff.) Gotta love the fact that the guy who directed the first feature length movie decided to make one of the most racist movies ever.
This is a great book. It's got nothing to do with the movie but is a sharp political satire about the city of East St. Louis seceding from the United States. Not quite as brilliant as Baker's solo work (he only does the art on this one), but definitely worth a look. It's only 14 bucks, no doubt even cheaper on Amazon. Check it out.
