I read the book until it got cancelled. Then they rebooted it with this one year later kind of thing. Then they went back and tried to show how they had gotten there. I only caught one issue after that. How much longer did the series run?

I loved that book.
Not very long at all, if I remember correctly, and it was plagued by severe lateness until it limped away. It was an amazing book, but the post-cancellation issues were considerably less clever, less witty and less entertaining, in my opinion. When it was cancelled originally, I mourned. When it went away the last time, I didn't care.![]()

In an interview with Shooter he mentions how he wasnt paid by the current managers at Acclaim and stopped writing and turning in scripts for the work. I would imagine that Preist would have been in the same boat. And since Priest and Shooter were friends (back when Priest was James Owsley) I would think Shooter gave him a heads up on the money situation. This is all pure speculation on my part, but I think its plausible
In any case, I feel the same way about the book, and I cant imagine that 5 years later the book would be anywhere near what it was initially. Id like to see Priest get controlling rights to the books so he could keep them in print and make some $$ off it
Enjoy the chlamydia Lucielle.

They've been trying to straighten out the rights.. both Priest and Quesada.
One can only hope it makes its way to ICON one day.
Quesada's a fan of the book, and I'd imagine is trying to help them publish it.
