Cause comics aren't the same thing as a novel?
why would a writer write comics if he is not going to do the art when he can just write a novel?
opinions?

You can do things with either genre that you can't with the other....
I guess as a writer you do give up some of the story telling power if you don't draw your own stuff, but that's not a bad thing...I wrote something and the artist I'm working with came up with something I didn't even think of when he was working on the character sketches....it totally made me rethink what I was doing and made it better....
Novels, while you still have an editor and such, don't have that kind of input....
Why do people write screenplays?

'Cause it's enjoyable, can pay well, and doesn't require the same level of descriptive writing that a novel does. And that last part isn't a stab at comic writers. Many of them would be perfectly capable of writing a novel but they've just chosen to work in a different medium.Originally Posted by Twocool4u1
Maybe it is cause modern comic writers grew up with these characters and this kind of storytelling and wants to continue doing what they enjoyed so much previously.
Because i'm not hung well enough for porn.
not hardcore, anyway, but i can get away with some cinemax stuff.
Because if they're like me they may lack artistic ability, but have good ideas.
