    Show off your newest toy!

I bought wo new toys this weekend.

First was a pair of Bose desktop computer speakers for just 100 bucks. They are small and sound huge. They rule.

Second was a new turntable to play records on. I left my old records at my parents house (need to go visit them to get them all back) so I bought some stuff to tide me over.

    - the new Shins album
    - Ray Charles
    - Bruce Springsteen
    - Simon & Garfunkel
    - Elvis Costello
    - Willie Nelson
    - Peter Gabriel

So what wonderful toys have you guys bought recently?

    Very nice!

My vinyl Collection was gigantic when I used to dig around at Detroit record stores, but since I moved here to Austin it's snowballed to an obsession. A happy, wonderfull obsession ops: Be very carefull, it's easy to get out control ops:

Mine are mostly 80's UK import singles - Smiths, New Order, ect.

Desirable Discs on Guadelupe was great, but they went out of business

I normally dig around in Half Price Books and Goodwills, you can find some great stuff cheap there.

Yeah, I got two Ray Charles albums and a kick ass Willie Nelson album at that new Half Price on North Lamar.

And a Apringsteen, but it was scratched up on Thunder Road...the whole reason I bought it. Ow well...it was only three bucks.

Mung Daal: We gotta get rid of this gum before Truffles sees it.
    Shnitzel: Radda radda radda radda?
Mung Daal: No, we can't chuck him in the furnace.
Delirium: Have you ever spent days and days and days making up flavours of ice cream that no one's ever eaten before? Like chicken and telephone ice cream?.... Green mouse ice cream was the worst. I didn't like that at all.

That may need purchasing by me. I love Michael Giacchino's work on Alias and Lost, too.
