My girlfriend was playing this the other day while I was doing dishes and I had the very same uncomfortable feeling start to nag at me.

I love that song, there's a bunch of great covers of it. My favorite is Zooey Deschanel on the Elf soundtrack.

Okay, it's December, so naturally I'm going to be hearing Christmas music wherever I go. I don't like it, but I've come to accept it for 1/12th of my year.

But last I checked, there were more songs than "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." Somehow, on hold, at the grocery store, at the Post Office and eveyrwhere else I've been in the last week or so, this is the only Christmas carol I hear. Enough already!

I really don't like about 99% of Christmas music. I think the hatred started when I worked long hours at Sears, and from Mid-November until January I would hear nothing but Christmas songs. The music was also supplemented by the Christmas videos I had to show since I worked in the TV department. The same videos every goddamn hour...

Now, the woman I work with turns on MY radio to Christmas music stations all day long. AARRRGG.

I'm also a fan of Gary Hoey's "Ho Ho Hoey" where he takes various christmas songs and turns them into metalized guitar instrumentals. There's also a similar collection out there from various guitar players called "Merry Axemas" which is also pretty cool. And of course, there are the two Chirstmas CDs from Trans Siberian Orchestra which are well worth hearing...
