After being with you guys for about 2 years now, I thought this was an awful idea, and I turned out to be correct. Almost immedeatly (second week of classes) flame wars started up, people were creating multiple ids, people were sending abusive PMs, etc.
Last week all of the professor's websites went offline. He told us in class that the attorney general had shut them all down and was conducting an investigation. Apparentally a russian porn ring had hijacked one of his inactive message boards from last semester and were routing orders for videotapes through it. At first the University thought their professor was actually doing this, until he told them the board hadnt been used since last semester.
So yeah. I thought this was excellent.
