Well, I find it hard to believe, but if her role in the relevant episode turns out to be surprisingly tiny and/or inconsequential, Occam's Razor would support the rumor, I think.

Prima Donna or not, it would be very foolish to cut her role. They should put up with the backstage crap for the sake of the show, because it's worth it.

Well, I don't think spite would necessarily have to be the motivator. Imagine if she's so unspeakably impossible to work with (throwing tantrums, demanding rewrites, causing delays, etc.) that the producers throw up their hands in frustration and do some last minute re-writes not to punish her so much as to just get her out of there as quickly as possible, because they've got a schedule and have to get the damn thing filmed without any more bs diva tantrums.

I'd still hate for it to be true.
