I was running some errands today while my kids were at lunch, and I had on one of those all request lunch hour shows. Well, somebody calls in and requests this song "One More Try." I'd never heard it before, but it sounded like it might be kinda good. What can I say, I'm a sucker for those touchy-feely-bitch songs. The DJ starts it up, and right off the bat I feel uncomfortable. It's all slow and synthy-sounding. Then the singing starts. It's this dude and he's kind of monotone. It's really weird. And the lyrics don't ease me at all. They're all like, "It's been a long time since we kissed. Let me put my arms around you. So many nights without you. After all that we've been through, let my tell you why, now that we've found each other, let's give it one more try." Yeah, it was not a happy time....But now, I can't ge tthe goddamn thing out of my head. I've been humming it all night. I just downloaded the bitch. I may even put it on a CD.
